Citizen Partners Curriculum Guide

Since July 2008, OCLC has received English Language/Civics funding to develop, pilot and implement a research-based program to address the growing need for citizenship-focused English language instruction in Orange County NC.  During the course of the first year, it became clear that the need for civics content was common throughout our ESOL offerings and we began to integrate the material into all our classes.  We also found that student needs were individualized enough that it was more useful to create a guide of successful teaching methods than a series of full lessons.  The result is our Citizen Partners Curriculum Guide.

This is a four part guide, with work continuing.  You can download the first installment by clicking here.
