Literacy is more than mastering the skill of reading. The Orange County Literacy Council recognizes that an important part of literacy is writing, where students are allowed to put critical thinking skills to work, apply what they’ve read, produce creative works, and above all express themselves as individuals. We encourage some form of writing in all tutoring sessions regardless of skill level and are pleased to share some of our students work, including stories, poems and speeches.
